Ways to Configure the Cisco Identity Services Engine (Cisco ISE) Identity Source
You can configure the Cisco ISE identity source in any of the following ways:
-
Quick configuration (new): Cisco ISE only; not supported for ISE-PIC. Enter the user name and password of a user in at least the External RESTful Services (ERS) Operator group. The Secure Firewall Management Center logs into the Cisco ISE Primary Authentication Node (PAN), downloads the certificates, and configures the identity source. You have the option of saving the ISE configuration for later use.
For more information about groups, see the section on Cisco ISE Administrator Groups in the Cisco Identity Services Engine Administrator Guide.
For details, see Quick Configuration.
-
Advanced configuration (old): Same as previous Secure Firewall Management Center releases and works for both Cisco ISE and ISE-PIC. You must get certificates and other information from your ISE/ISE-PIC server as discussed in Configure ISE/ISE-PIC.
For details about advanced configuration, see Cisco ISE Advanced Configuration.
