RIP

The Routing Information Protocol (RIP) is a distance-vector routing protocol that

  • enables devices to exchange routing information,

  • supports authentication mechanisms, and

  • facilitates redistribution of routing information.

RIP Configuration Constraints

There are constraints when deploying RIP on the Firewall Threat Defense:

  • RIP configuration is restricted to the global virtual router and is not supported for user-defined virtual routers.
