Create Dynamic Objects with Cloud-delivered Firewall Management Center and On-Premises Cisco Secure Dynamic Attributes Connector

The following page is displayed if you indicated you're configuring an on-premises Cisco Secure Dynamic Attributes Connector with cloud-delivered Firewall Management Center in Cisco Security Cloud Control.

To configure cloud-delivered FMC with on-premises dynamic attributes connector, you must onboard the FMC to Security Cloud Control then create an adapter in the dynamic attributes connector that communicates with the FMC

To use this type of deployment:

  1. Install the Cisco Secure Dynamic Attributes Connector on a supported Linux virtual machine.

  2. Configure connectors, which retrieve IP addresses from cloud services.

  3. Configure adapters, which send IP addresses to your cloud-delivered Firewall Management Center.

  4. Configure dynamic attributes filters, which determine what IP addresses to send to the management center.

  5. Click Administration > Firewall Management Center and choose Cloud-Delivered FMC.

  6. View your dynamic objects at Objects > Object Management > External Attributes > Dynamic Object.

  7. Use dynamic objects in access control rules (Policies > Access Control, then click the Dynamic Attributes tab).

You do not have to deploy access control rules with dynamic objects; they are updated on all targeted devices automatically.
