Generate Troubleshooting Files for Specific System Functions
You can generate and download customized troubleshooting files that you can send to Support.
Before you begin
You must be an Admin, Maintenance, Security Analyst, or Security Analyst (Read Only) user to perform this task.
Procedure
Step 1 | Choose System () > , click the device in the left panel, then View System & Troubleshoot Details, and then click Generate Troubleshooting Files.

Step 2 | Choose All Data to generate all possible troubleshooting data, or check individual boxes as described in View Task Messages. | ||
Step 3 | Click Generate. | ||
Step 4 | View task messages in the Message Center; see View Task Messages. | ||
Step 5 | Find the task that corresponds to the troubleshooting files you generated. | ||
Step 6 | After the
appliance generated the troubleshooting files and the task status changes to

Step 7 | Follow your
browser's prompts to download the file. (The troubleshooting files are
downloaded in a single
| ||
Step 8 | Follow the directions from Support to send the troubleshooting files to Cisco. |
