Import a device template
The device template import feature allows you to transfer templates between different Cloud-Delivered Firewall Management Center systems or domains for replication, modification, and deployment purposes.
You can import a template into the Cloud-Delivered Firewall Management Center or export a template to your local system. This feature is useful in the following scenarios:

Generate a copy of the template from a device, export it, and import that template into another Cloud-Delivered Firewall Management Center or Cloud-Delivered Firewall Management Center.

Generate a copy of the template, export it, modify as required to create a variation of the existing template, and import the template into the Cloud-Delivered Firewall Management Center.

Generate a copy of the template, export it, and import that template into another domain in which the source template is not visible.
Follow these steps to import a device template into the Cloud-Delivered Firewall Management Center from your local system:

Step 3 | Click Import and click Import again. If you want to export a template, click Export and click OK. | ||
Step 4 | To view the status of the import task, click Notifications, and then click the Tasks tab. | ||
Step 5 | Choose the template SFO file on your local system and click Open. This template SFO file that you import can be newly created, generated from a device, or cloned from an existing template. | ||
Step 6 | To view the status of the import task, click Notifications, and then click the Tasks tab. You will see a notification informing you that the import or export task is successfully completed. If you are exporting a template, click Notifications and click the Taskstab. In the tab page, click Download Export Package to download the template configuration as an SFO file.
